Authorities say a 14-year-old girl was killed in a crash at the intersection of Fulton Street and Main Street in Farmingdale Wednesday night.

It was just after 6 p.m. when police say a 45-year-old male driver and his 14-year-old passenger were in a minivan attempting to make a left turn onto Main Street when they were struck by a Jeep Wrangler operated by a 54-year-old man.

The minivan spun around from the impact and hit two other cars that were stopped at the traffic light. The 14-year-old girl suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

People who live in this area say this is an extremely dangerous intersection.

The two drivers and another person who was in one of the stopped cars that were hit were all transported to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
