Former Rutgers student Dharun Ravi will be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison Monday, following his conviction in mid March on 15 criminal counts including bias intimidation, evidence tampering and invasion of privacy. Ravi used a webcam to publicly spy on roommate Tyler Clementi’s intimate encounter with another man. Days later, Clementi committed suicide, propelling the case into national headlines.

The jury has rendered a verdict of guilty on multiple charges in the case of Rutgers University student Dharun Ravi, who is accused of spying on his college roommate Tyler Clementi with a webcam during a gay sexual encounter.
