Police searching for robbery suspects in Hempstead

Two men robbed a Family Dollar store on Greenwich Street after threatening the employees with handguns

Police are looking for two people who they say robbed a store and threatened two employees with handguns.

Officers say it happened at a Family Dollar store on Greenwich Street in Hempstead around 8:30 Sunday morning.

According to officers, the two ran off with an unknown amount of money before threatening the two female employees.

Officers say no one was injured and there were no customers at the store during the time of the incident.

Police ask anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
