ELMONT - The Metropolitan Handicap, or "Met Mile," is one of the most prestigious American races outside of the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup. This year, there's a chance it could be won by a Long Island native, as Mind Your Biscuits, trained by Chad Summers of Bellmore, is favored to win the race.

"When you're from Long Island, not a lot of people say, 'I want to be in horse racing,'” said Summers. "But I did from a young age. I always wanted to be here. To be a part of it, now on the big stage. It's completely surreal."
