3 arrested in overdose cases in Hempstead

Suspects are believed to have been in possession of heroin


HEMPSTEAD – After an investigation by Nassau County detectives, three people were arrested on Sunday in connection with two drug overdose cases, including one that was deadly, on Elmont and Franklin Square.

George Williams of Roosevelt faces multiple charges, including criminal sale, possession of a controlled substance believed to be heroin, and violation of parole.

Detectives said further investigation led to the arrest of Stephanie Snavely of Hempstead and Kenneth Robinson of Far Rockaway. Their charges include criminal possession of a controlled substance, which is believed to be heroin.

All three suspects were arraigned at First District Court on Monday.

Online records show Williams and Snavely are due back in court on Wednesday, while Robinson is due back on Sept. 7.
