ISLIP — Gov. Andrew Cuomo unveiled a proposal in his 'State of the State' agenda to help eradicate MS-13. He came up with a comprehensive strategy to end gang activity, emphasizing Long Island where MS-13-related gang violence has escalated dramatically in the past few years.

Cuomo's goal consists of completely cutting off the recruitment pipeline to MS-13 through a "5-Point Plan." He also plans to invest millions of dollars in funding for the programs that the plan includes after launching an aggressive campaign to crack down on the notorious gang earlier this year.
