ELMONT — Nassau County police arrested a Bronx man they believe is tied to a local home burglary that happened last December.

Detectives say one of three men behind the home invasion was caught following a thorough investigation when DNA evidence was recovered at the scene. Police were able to track down where Stanley Isac, 22, lives and arrested him. Isac is being charged with multiple counts of kidnapping, robbery, burglary, and assault.

Investigators believe Isac, along with the other alleged suspects may have targeted 69-year-old Roger Eugene and his 70-year-old wife because of Eugene’s recognition as a popular Haitian singer, more commonly known by his fans as “Shoubou.”

The three men terrorized Eugene and his wife as they ransacked the house, throwing the victims onto the floor and stuffing pillows into their faces.

Isac is being arraigned in first district court in Hempstead on Jan. 13.

Authorities continue looking for the other two men involved in the home invasion. The investigation is ongoing.
