MINEOLA — Long Island Railroad officials advised riders of cancellations and delays at the Mineola station on Monday after an unauthorized person on the tracks was hit by a freight train.

MTA officials say service is now restored on the Oyster Bay, Huntington, and Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma branches after being initially suspended both ways. These transit issues come as commuters deal with the next round of track repairs.
