Health clinic offers free flu shots in Hauppauge

Flu season can run until May or June, health experts say

HAUPPAUGE — Suffolk is holding free flu shot clinics in response to Gov. Andrew Cuomo declaring the flu epidemic a public health emergency.

Suffolk County residents got vaccinated for free Thursday from the Department of Health Services at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge. Anyone six months and older can get a flu shot from the county. They've held 4 free clinics so far this season and will be holding two more.

The county is holding another free flu shot clinic Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Riverhead Library.
