Huntington welcomes new town supervisor for first time in over 20 years

2018 brings a new direction for the town

HUNTINGTON — Walt Whitman High School was packed Tuesday as several elected officials took their oath of office in Huntington.

Leading the brand new administration is Chad Lupinacci, a Republican New York State assemblyman. Lupinacci replaces Frank Petrone, who had been supervisor since 1994. It’s the first time in 24 years that the town's had a new supervisor.

Lupinacci wants to work on ethics reform, fighting the opioid epidemic, and making town hall more accessible and friendly.
