CALVERTON – Suffolk County Police are asking for the public's help to identify two men they believe may have robbed two Mobil gas stations back in February. The incidents occurred in Calverton on Middle Country Road, and the other is less than three miles away in Riverhead. Police said they believe the same men are behind the robberies. Police are offering a reward for any information that could lead to an arrest.

Suffolk County Police and Riverhead Town Police are examining the surveillance footage. Officials said the two men first robbed the Mobil station in riverhead at 7:30 p.m., and less than 15 minutes later, hit their second target in Calverton.

People who frequent the Mobil gas station here in Calverton said, robberies are the last thing they would expect here because of how kind the people are the station are.

"Yes I am surprised. Around here it doesn't seem that way," Calverton resident Mickey Alaimo said.

"It's usually very calm [at the station] there's always lot of people. But it's like everyone going, getting their gas, and going home. I was actually very surprised," Calverton resident Jewel Escobar said. "They're good people, they're nice, and they give you good service. I go in and go out, basically."
