Marc Herman wants a ‘new Town of Oyster Bay’

Democratic candidate campaigns for an ethical ‘new government’

SYOSSET – Marc Herman, the Democratic candidate running for supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay, is hoping to unseat Joseph Saladino. The Woodbury-based dentist is spending Election Day walking through neighborhoods, knocking on doors, reminding people to vote.

“We want to create a new government, a new Town of Oyster Bay, something everybody's proud of. … [B]ring it back to the way it used to be."

Herman, who has a master’s degree in ethics, says he wants to regain people's trust after corruption accusations against former Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano.

"People are ready for a change; they're tired of the corruption. They want their taxes lowered.”

Herman says if he's elected, his top priorities in addition to tackling corruption are lowering taxes, fixing roads and cleaning water.
