Nassau County PD gains 67 new recruits

Before enforcing the law, Initiates to embark upon rigorous training

MINEOLA — New recruits were sworn in on Friday with the Nassau County Police Department. The 67 initiates will now begin their intense, 7-month training that they will have to complete before patrolling the streets of Nassau County.

Both Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and acting Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder wished the recruits luck in training and said they look forward to the class graduating and becoming part of the Nassau County Police Department family.
