MERRICK — Parts of Long Island are still without power from Friday’s nor'easter. PSEG Long Island crews could be seen throughout Nassau County on Monday working to get the power back on for residents. According to the utility, the outages were mainly in Nassau. As of 11 o'clock Monday morning, more than 1,300 customers were still out of power.

In Merrick, some residents said they were lucky and didn't lose power during Friday’s storm. A PSEG Long Island crew did respond, however, to an outage at Sacred Heart Church on Old Mill Road after a part of the building lost power.

And with another storm predicted to hit Long Island Wednesday, residents say are hoping for the best.

PSEG Long Island says many of the customers without power should have electricity restored by Monday night or Tuesday.
