OCEANSIDE — Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole over $90,000 worth of jewelry on Christmas Eve from a Long Island Costco store.

It was around 11 p.m. when a man allegedly pried open a jewelry case in the Oceanside store and made off with $92,000 worth of jewelry, police say. According to police, surveillance video revealed that the man put the jewelry from the case in a blue bag and then fled on foot in an unknown direction. Investigators say it is possible he had an accomplice and hid in the store after closing. A second man was observed with the suspect earlier walking around the jewelry case.

The first subject is described as a slim male with a full beard who wore all black clothes that included a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers. Subject two is described as being a 5'10" to 6'0" tall slim male wearing all black clothes that included a black leather coat and a black wool hat. Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers.
