High school girls lacrosse game

The third-seeded Port Washington Vikings (10-6) reaches the Nassau Class A Championship for the second straight season with a xx to xx win over the second-seeded Syosset Braves (9-6) at Motamed Field on the campus of Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. After Syosset opened the scoring, Port Washington dominated the play with the game's next 7 goals and took an 8-2 lead at the half. However, Syosset stormed at the start of the second half, scoring 3 goals in the first 6:09 to cut the lead to 8-5. However, despite Port Washington's offense not registering a shot in the second half, the Port Washington goalie Jenny Valenti made five huge saves in the second half, one on a man-down situation, along with their defense holding the fort and preserve the win.

Port Washington will play top-seeded and two-time defending Nassau Class A Champion Massapequa for the Nassau Class A Championship on Thursday, May 31st at Adelphi University.
