VetDogs Golf Classic raises funds for service members in need

Donations from the event to go towards training, service for veterans

HUNTINGTON — Over 400,000 veterans have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). They are faced with a number of challenges and when they return home, service dogs help them cope and merge back into their home community settings.

Holding its 9th annual event on Monday, the VetDogs Golf Classic in Huntington is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for veteran dogs. Raising up to $250,000, the organization uses the funds for dog-training and supplying service to veterans.
