Woman arrested for allegedly stealing $10K in lottery tickets from Levittown Walmart

Latricia Hawkins is arraigned in first district court, charged with grand larceny

LEVITTOWN – Nassau County detectives arrested Latricia Hawkins at the Walmart she worked at in Levittown after she was accused of stealing thousands of dollars in lottery tickets. Hawkins was charged with grand larceny on Wednesday.

Police say they were contacted by Walmart’s loss prevention manager who found the store was missing thousands of dollars in New York State Lottery ticket sales. Hawkins was allegedly connected to that theft, with police saying she printed more than $10,000 in lottery tickets for herself without paying for them.

Hawkins was arraigned in first district court and is awaiting her next court date.
