Police arrived to a house here on West Park Avenue Saturday night after getting a call about underage drinking. Several minors had to be taken away from the party on stretchers.
The Long Beach Police Commissioner says between 150 to 200 underage people were drinking at the house party. Police got to the home shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday.
As cops broke up the party, they found 3 minors very drunk, possibly suffering from alcohol poisoning. They were treated at the hospital.
Police are not naming them as they're underage. Neighbors and others in the community told FiOS1 News what they thought about this out of hand party.
"It’s kind of like what's going on over there. Obviously it goes on everywhere in all the communities all over the county. But it's just worrisome that it's right next door," said Long Beach resident Geri Evans.
"It’s pretty unfortunate for young kids putting themselves in so much danger,” said Keegan Brick, who was visiting. “Everyone's trying to have a fun time every once in a while. It's unfortunate that that happens sometimes."
Officials say an unidentified 19 year-old violated the social host ordinance. He was issued a summons.
