Nassau County Police say a man and two teenaged boys from Freeport are responsible for a pair of burglaries at a Merrick T-Mobile store and at a Bellmore jewelry business in February.

Detectives say in both crimes, 22-year-old Charles Sievert, 16-year-old Anthony Morris and 16-year-old Joseph Torres threw a concrete brick through a glass window in order to gain access to the stores to steal items like cell phones, watches, and jewelry.

After the alleged burglary in Merrick, police say the trio was taken into custody on Tuesday after responding officers allegedly observed Siebert's car and noticed that the registration plates did not match the vehicle description.

Instead of stopping, detectives say Siebert crashed his vehicle into a police car, and then ran away from the scene. He allegedly resisted arrest.

The suspects face two counts each for burglary in the 3rd degree. The teens are being charged as adults.

Siebert, meantime, faces an additional charge for resisting arrest.
