PORT ST. LUCIE, F.L. — The New York Mets played their first intrasquad game on Friday, and the players' performance generated overall good impressions. Mets beat reporter Mike Kerwick told FiOS1 Sports' Rich Barrabi that the pitchers brought their A game to the mound and that outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis is someone to keep an eye on. Kerwick added that Saturday's game will see the regulars of David Wright, Josh Thole and Daniel Murphy among others.
