Amanda Borowski loves to read books of all genres. Borowski, a student at Hauppauge Middle School, was stunned to find out that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Wyandanch did not have a library. She immediately began gathering old books from her house to donate to the school. Her efforts would eventually get the name Amanda's Book Rescue and have significantly helped the school.
