Rape Victim Speaks of a 9-Year Wait to Find Justice
According to the Human Rights Watch, every two minutes someone is raped in the U.S. and every year, more than 200,000 rape victims report their attacks to the police. Most rape victims who report their attacks consent to what is called a rape kit - where medical professionals collect evidence of rape assaults. Unfortunately, what victims don't know is that in thousands of cases the evidence sits untested in police storage facilities.
FiOS1 News reporter Kim Lengle speaks to one victim who waited nine and a-half years to bring her attacker to justice.
