Though it's a routine part of their jobs, traffic stops can be very dangerous for police officers. Events can go smoothly or take a turn for the worse, which is why every Nassau police officer takes the situation seriously. To help explain their point of view, off-duty officers named the "Nassau Guardians" hold events at the Elmont Library to educate children about these scenarios. Mike Stevens talks with officers Stephen Bellamy and Ian Brown to learn more about the program.
