SOUND BEACH — Police are investigating a crash that seriously injured a boy on Plandome Road. Twelve-year-old John Vento was riding his dirt bike when he was struck by a taxi driven by Darnell Edwards, police said. Vento was taken to a hospital with head, leg and neck injuries.
