RIDGE — Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and local fire officials spoke at a press conference Monday to address the wildfire currently burning near Brookhaven National Laboratory. Over 90 departments from across Suffolk County have been called to fight the fire and Nassau County departments have also been asked to assist in the effort. Bellone said the fire was not yet under control and also detailed several evacuations that are currently in effect.
