Friends and family of a New Jersey college student taking classes abroad are mourning her death after the trip of a lifetime turns deadly. Daniela Lekhno, 20, of Manalapan was killed in a car crash Saturday in New Zealand after the van she and other students were in veered off the road. Lekhno was one of three Boston University students killed in the accident and one of more than two dozen en route to a hiking trip.
