Village officials across Nassau County are suggesting a "pay-as-you-go" system for police services. According to reports, Rockville Centre Mayor Francis Murray says the plan would eliminate the "headquarters" tax expense on homeowners. Instead, the mayor says, residents will only pay for services used.
