NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Joseph Clementi, father of Tyler Clementi, read an impact statement at the sentencing of former Rutgers University student Dharun Ravi on Monday.

Ravi was convicted on 15 criminal counts, including bias intimidation, evidence tampering and invasion of privacy after he used a webcam to spy on his roommate Tyler Clementi’s intimate encounter with another man. Clementi committed suicide in September 2010.
