All of the coins have been counted and votes tabulated and this year's Coin Harvest campaign winner is St. Patrick School in Bay Shore. The school raised over $2,400 and has participated in the program for well over a decade. Students used the motto "a quarter a day keeps hunger away". As the grand prize winners, the school received $10,000 dollars as well as an additional $1,000 for being among the top three votegetters.

East Islip Middle School took home the second place prize of $5,000. Two schools, Manor Oaks School in New Hyde Park and George A. Jackson Elementary School in Jericho, each took home $1,000.

CEO Randi Shubin Dresner said this year's contest raised well over $60,000 overall.
