SOUTHAMPTON — Veteran point guard Jason Kidd was arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday morning, just days after signing a three-year contract with the New York Knicks. The all-star was arrested near his home after his Cadillac Escalade hit a pole and drove into the woods near Cobb Road and Little Cobb Road in Water Mill. According to police, he refused to take a breathalyzer test when officers arrived. He was taken to Southampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then transported to police headquarters for processing on the misdemeanor charge. Kidd was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
