STONY BROOK — According to media sources, Stony Brook University has received a $20 million donation for the development of a new computer department. According to the sources, the came came from two donors for the school's news institute of advanced computational science. The new department will reportedly take on groundbreaking research in everything from atomic particles to atomic change.
