Attorney for Raymond Roth Would Not Specify Facility
NEW YORK — The lawyer for the Massapequa man who is accused of trying to fake his own death said Wednesday that his client checked himself into a psychiatric hospital, but declined to specify which one. According to police, Roth was reported missing by his son on July 28 but email documents suggest that it was all a set up. Police have not charged Roth at this time but his son Jonathan, who reported the disappearance, was arraigned Monday on multiple fraud charges. According to his attorney, Raymond Roth plans to stay at the hospital until he feels ready to surrender to prosecutors.
