Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano announced Thursday that the American Heart Association and Quick Snack Vending will install new, healthy food dispensers in local schools and parks. Officials said the vending machines will be stocked with a variety of healthy snacks like granola bars, sunflower seeds and tomato juice. The new dispensers are part of the county's initiative to fight childhood obesity.
