Voters went to the polls Thursday in New York State's Primary Election and the results are in: the Bridget Fleming defeated Jennifer Maertz in the First District. Fleming will face the incumbent Republican Kenneth LaValle. In District Six, Democratic Assemblyman Philip Ramos was elected over Samuel Gonzalez. Ramos will face off against Republican Manuel Torche and two minor-party candidates. Republican Assemblyman Joe Saladino beat challenger Rich Young in the Ninth District. And in the new District 22 Michealle Solages defeated Milagros Vicente and Pat Maher.
