Having lost 3 of their last 4 games and down 4-3 at the half, the Huntington Blue Devils (6-3) stormed in the second half, scoring 8 straight goals and won 7 of 10 draw controls to defeat the Sachem North Flaming Arrows (7-2) by a score of 11 to 5 at Huntington High School in Huntington, NY. In a huge Suffolk Division 1 Girls Lacrosse game, Huntington was led by sophomore Abby Maichin, who tallied 4 goals and 2 assists. Senior Isabella Piccola also contributed for the Blue Devils with 3 goals. Sachem North had their chances throughout the game, winning 6 of the 8 draw controls in the first half, but 3 of their shots hit the pipe. Both Huntington goalies, Maya Santa-Maria and Megan Bacik came up big throughout the game. Cali O'Brien led Sachem North with 3 goals and 1 assist on the day.

Huntington and Sachem North both have big Suffolk Division 1 league games coming up on Friday, April 27th with Huntington taking on Smithtown West, while Sachem North travels to undefeated Northport.
