HEMPSTEAD — A long-standing tradition at Hofstra University calls for students to bond together and help those in need on the island. This year, by going to different communities affected by Hurricane Sandy, student lacrosse players are using muscle power and teamwork to assist home owners as they rebuild and preserve their damaged homes.
