A Glen Cove man is facing second-degree murder charges after police said they discovered a body in the home backyard of the suspect’s neighbor. Edward Brown is accused of bludgeoning to death 56-year-old Nunzio Izzo on Dec. 17, 2012. According to authorities, when Brown stole Izzo’s jewelry, an argument erupted between both men. Prosecutors said Brown repeatedly struck Izzo in the face and head before disposing of his body in a neighbor’s yard.

Nassau police said when they arrived at Brown's home to arrest him, the suspect confessed to killing Izzo and then led them to the body's whereabouts.
