SAYVILLE — A car crash on Montauk Highway has killed at least one person. A black Chevy Trailblazer apparently struck a red Hyundai head on, killing the Hyundai’s 83-year-old driver and leaving the passenger, a 79-year-old woman, in critical condition. The driver of the Chevy has non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in police custody. As a result of the crash, Montauk Highway has been closed between Sunset Drive and Benson Avenue.
