Authorities Say Remains Belong to a Female Homicide Victim
MINEOLA — Authorities are investigating after a woman walking her dog along the beach on the Lattingtown shoreline found human bones. According to preliminary evidence, police believe the skeletal remains belong to a woman between the ages of 20 and 30. Police said jewelry and clothing was also discovered with the body, which showed signs of trauma, making the investigation a homicide case. Authorities stated there is no evidence to suggest that this incident is connected to the sets of human remains found on Gilgo and Oak Beach.
