CARLE PLACE — Cuban-American Maria Morales-Prieto is the founder, president and CEO of The Hispanic Network, a PR/marketing firm dedicated to bridging the gap between the burgeoning Hispanic market and the world. Morales-Prieto speaks about the importance of hiring bilingual people when targeting the exploding Latino market. Language, she says, is the biggest barrier to breaking into the Spanish-speaking market and it's critical for people to understand the various nuances within the language. She also points out that Hispanics are the ones that show the most loyalty to their products.
