Deal to Have Brought About $23 Million if Sold to Private Operator
YAPHANK — The Brookhaven Zoning Board rejected a permit that would have allowed Suffolk County to sell the Foley Nursing Home. County Executive Steve Bellone was relying on the sale of the facility to help balance the 2013 budget. The deal would have brought about $23 million if it had been sold to a private operator.
