National Grid at Work to De-Ice Frozen Pipes

As frigid temperatures continued Thursday, Wendy Ladd of National Grid said there are crews at work de-icing regulators in an attempt to restore heat to residents in an Island Park community. Authorities said water left in pipes in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy froze when the temperatures dipped into the single digits, preventing heat from flowing into area homes.
