KINGS PARK — Suffolk County police managed to revive an unconscious man who had allegedly overdosed on heroin thanks to the actions of a few quick-thinking officers early Thursday morning. The officers gave the victims Narcan, a nasally administered drug that reverses the affects of opiates. Officers throughout Suffolk county have been trained to use the drug on overdose victims, whose use has so far resulted in 35 opiate reversals in just five months. FiOS1’s Kevin Vesey reports.
