Lawmakers are expected to vote on the Sandy aid bill in the Senate on Monday, about three months after the hurricane wreaked havoc in the Northeast. According to officials, the $50.5 billion package is necessary to recover from the devastation left behind from the superstorm. Critics of the bill say the amount will add to the national debt without spending cuts in other areas.
