Foundation Rescues Sea Animals From New York Shores
RIVERHEAD — Inside one of the largest marine tanks in the Northeast region swims Noodle, a little porpoise rescued from the shores of Maine. The tank, standing at 30 feet, is located inside the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Prevention, which houses marine animals undergoing rehabilitation. With the help and love of founder Rob DiGiovanni, several volunteers, and the support of the Long Island Aquarium, the foundation has successfully returned thousands of animals, from mammals to sea turtles, into the wild safe and strong.
