Three months after the devastation of Superstorm Sandy, Island Park resident Barbra Rubin Perry said the situation in her home has not improved. She said she and her husband Robert did qualify for the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power, or STEP, Program, but it is not doing enough, especially when the temperatures drop.
