LONG BEACH — Hundreds of people gathered on the Laurelton Boulevard Boardwalk Sunday evening as part of a vigil for Daniel Bobis. Bobis, who was a surfer and a teacher at Long Beach High School, was on vacation with his wife in Indonesia and went missing early Saturday. The vigil was held to raise awareness and money for what is hoped will be Bobis' eventual rescue. Bobis, who was the surf team coach at Long Beach High School, was remembered by his students as a well-loved teacher. Money can be donated to aid the search via PayPal at dannybobisfund@gmail.com.
