ROCKVILLE CENTRE — Twenty-eight people from Rockville Centre died on Sept. 11, including Marc Wieman's wife Mary. A few days before the attacks, the Wiemans celebrated their 20 year wedding anniversary. When Marc heard that Tower 2, the one which Mary worked in, was hit, he knew it would take a miracle for her to get out alive. The hardest part, Marc says, was having to explain to his three children, Chris, Allison and Mary, who were 12, 8 and 6 years old respectively, that their mother wouldn't be coming home that day. Mary's name has been inscribed on the Rockville Centre memorial along with the others lost that day. Mike Stevens visits the Wieman home to hear Marc reflect on Mary's life and how he has coped since.
