COMMACK — The Homegrown String Band is a family of musicians who have been performing together since 1997. The Jackofsky Family began playing together upon realizing that they were watching too much TV. Slowly, all of the members of the family began to pick up instruments, and have been playing various string instruments together for years. PLaying a brand of Americana, the Jackofsky family continues the tradition of American folk music.
